The amazing blog of Megoblocks (Mr, not Mrs Megos). One day I'll think of something a little more clever for this spot. Here you'll find ramblings of all kinds. Writing ramblings, chaplain ramblings, life ramblings, and ramblings on ramblings. It seems now however, that many ramblings will be more like narratives of fantastic, noteworthy events, or a bit of an attempt to remain sane. No animals were harmed in the creation of the blog

I slipped past my final eval with flying colors. Thank God. That makes 2 CPE units down, and 2 more to go. The only real snag now is a review board in the end of January I have to pass. They get the final eval I wrote, the one my supervisor will write, and a few other papers (which have yet to be written). Pass that one and its smooth sailing (relatively). Of course, never mind the fact that if you don't pass, one can't really go anywhere in the field. Who would have thought chaplaincy was such a pita to get trained in? Its like trying to get certified/licensed in 2 seperate fields. One, you have to go through the usual seminary process - after all, you are viewed as clergy - and on the other, you have to go through a lot of clinical work. Not exactly doing long term therapy (its not our place, nor do we have the time w/ pts) but there is a TON of mental health one has to know about (and be able to put into use). I suppose we're the CISDers so that therapy can be avoided (or some huge catastrophe). But its not all grim, happy things like new babies always abound around here too.
