So I had to go to my chaplain internship interview for the hospital here (ORMC) and it went well. I finally got my acceptance letter (which I knew I'd be getting anyway) and now they want money from me! How rude. Har! Anyway, back to the original point of all of this, at the end (or near the end) of my interview, the guy (who was quite nice) said "I can see the marine [in you]". Semper Fi!
So starting in Sept through Feb I get to put in 15-20 hrs chaplaining (As Calvin says, I love to verb words) and earn a massive 3 credits. Assuming I am still gung ho about all this (appearantly, only 1 in 4 continue on) next september, I can apply for a paid residency which lasts a year (required to be board cert'd) at the end of which, I can then take the board exam and what not, and get a full time position.
